What To Do If Your Site Gets Hacked Part 1

You may well have heard all the buzz online about the attacks on WordPress security. Unfortunately this is no joke, and it needs to be taken very seriously, or all you've built could be hijacked or worse, lost to you.



Cloning your site is just another level in secure your wordpress site which may be very useful. Cloning simply means that you've backed up your site to a totally different place, (offline, as in a folder, so as to not have SEO issues ) where you can access it in a moment's notice if the need arises.

Basically, it will start with the fundamentals. Try to use complex passwords. Use numbers, letters, special characters, and spaces and combine them to create a unique password. You can also use usernames that are not see this site obvious.

Maintain control of your online assets - Nothing is worse than having your livelihood in somebody else's hands. Why take chances with something as important as your site?

You can also create a firewall that blocks hackers from infiltrating your own blogs. The firewall prevents the hacker from coming into your own files. You also have to have version of Apache. Upgrade your PHP also. It is important that your system is full of upgrades.

There are always going to be risks being online (or even just being alive!) Also it's easy to get caught up in the panic. We put the breaks on when we get caught up in the fear. This isn't a response. Take some common sense precautions forge ahead. It will have to be addressed then, if something does happen and no amount of quaking in your will have helped. If nothing does, all is good and you haven't made yourself ill with worry.
